Global Tier 2 Contest: COMPUTATIONAL THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING (CTPS) course from National University of Singapore Centre For Nurturing Computing Excellence (NUS CeNCE)

Secondary 1 to Junior College 2 (Grade 7 to 12) students can enrol in the optional CTPS workshop with CTPS contest on August 11, 2024. This is a great opportunity for students keen and strong in Computer Science to join a NUS Undergraduate Computer Science course. This CTPS workshop with 32 hours of contact time is helps students who to master the CTPS syllabus and curriculum. Students who have mastered the content can join the CTPS contest directly. There will be no limit to the number of contestants for CTPS Contest, which costs S$150 per entry.

1. Process knowledge and algorithms
2. Problem-solving by brute-force search
3. Data abstraction and decomposition
4. Functional abstraction and decomposition
5. Recursion
6. Extending problem-solving with divide and conquer

COMPUTATIONAL THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING (CTPS)

An 8-day online course for Grade 7 to 12 students run by the Centre for Nurturing Computing Excellence, School of Computing, National University of Singapore

• CTPS will be conducted from June to July 2024.
• All lessons from 4 to 6 pm and 7 to 9 pm on dates to be released later. • Students are expected to review
lecture videos independently before each of the lab sessions.
• The Final Contest will be conducted on 11th August from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. The certicate you receive will be
solely determine based on this contest
